Georgina Bell - ‘Emplacement’ Exhibition

The Richard Attenborough Centre in Leicester will be showing this solo exhibition from Saturday 30 August to Sunday 26 October.

Southwell

Southwell Artspace is an Edwardian building situated a 3 minute stroll from the centre of the historic market town of Southwell. The town’s Minster dates from the 13th century and has a wonderful concert programme, while on the opposite side of Southwell the National Trust’s Workhouse breaks the hearts of many visitors.

The recent addition of some lovely delicatessens and coffee shops alongside established pubs and restaurants make this a great place to eat out, whether you have screaming children or a glass of chilled wine in mind. There are also plenty of open spaces and parks to wander or play in.

There are a selection of boutique outlets selling designer gifts, home furnishings, and clothing. For those more interested practical home improvement the Handicentre is an Aladdin’s cave.

Festivals and Events in the town include the Southwell Folk Festival, the Southwell Festival and the Southwell Artists Group Open Studio event.
