My charcoal drawings particularly reflect my own solitary journeys through the rural landscape.
My work is about materials. I am fascinated with the scope which each different media offers.
I produce final drawings which are a composite of sights, impressions and feelings.
I describe myself as an interdisciplinarian and my practice is based upon the convergence of art forms within a conceptual framework.

I produce final drawings which are a composite of sights, impressions and feelings.
My drawings are completed over a number of months and encompass an element of the playful alongside a darker questioning of the everyday.
In 2006 after securing a studio at Southwell Artspace, I moved to Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Here, what has caught my interest is precisely the ‘characters’ of the town, and their comings and goings, observing their interactions and communications as they move through everyday worlds.
Previously, while based at the ACME studios, London I produced a series of drawings in which I was trying to record a response to the ‘organised chaos’ of endless traffic and of the endless cycle of demolition and building. There is a constructional aspect to all these drawings as they focus on things and spaces, buildings, tools and equipment rather than on people who have created these worlds.
