Artist’s Surgery Seminars
This winter Southwell Artspace in partnership with Newark and Sherwood District Council Arts Development team will be hosting a series of informal training events for artists.
Southwell Artists Group Exhibition
November 8th to November 22nd 2008
Following on from the recent successful open studios event, the Southwell Artists Group be presenting an exhibition of their current work at the Artspace.
Visitors to the gallery will have an opportunity to sample and enjoy the diversity of creative work produced by the group ranging from the figurative to the abstract. Included in the show will be drawing, painting and photography reflecting the different approaches and techniques used by its members.
Formed in 2004 the Southwell Artists Group are fourteen professional artists who have exhibited widely both locally, nationally and abroad. Some members work is also in major collections such as The Arts Council and The National History Museum. The group aims to make the visual arts more accessible to people by providing opportunities through events such as open studios and exhibitions.
