CIRCLE of the TYRANTS

September 15th - October 13th 2007

Artist collective, MOOT presents ‘CIRCLE of the TYRANTS’, a group exhibition of video, sculpture, drawing and text by four UK based artists.

The exhibition will include a new text based work from Dan Keeling, appropriating and re-addressing the WW1 poetry of Wilfred Owen; a new sculptural work from Dan Mort, extending his exploration into the properties and qualities of sculpture through his intuitive forging and meshing of familiar and invented objects; a large diagrammatical drawing referencing the sound of human inarticulacy from Mark Pearson and on the Moot nine screen video wall, Jonathan Velardi will be presenting work that exemplifies media symbols in popular cultures.

This is a fresh and unusual perspective of emerging artists working on the edge of contemporary drawing, curated by Nottingham based artist collective, MOOT.
