Southwell Artspace is to close in early 2009.
Life Drawing Exhibition
Celebrating Artspace’s first series of Life Drawing sessions, the gallery hosted an exhibition of participants Life Drawings.
“From simple lines to flurried sketching, from black and white to abstract colour and from intense shading to loose caricature, this selection of drawings make manifest their creators love of nature in the human form. It is the torn paper, accidental smudges, thumb prints and gestural marks in these drawings which constitute the raw quality that forms the heart of every drawing”.
Artspace would like to thank all those who took part in the Life Drawing and all those who contributed work for the exhibition. Thanks also to our Life Models: Gaye Carpenter, Jan Deebank and Philip Lodge.
